Mr. Heedy grew up in Atlanta, Georgia before moving to Gainesville, Florida in 2002. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Biology in 2012. He then attended Florida State College of Law, obtaining his Juris Doctorate Degree, cum laude, in May 2015. While at FSU, Mr. Heedy was an Articles Editor for the Florida State University Law Review and the Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law. He was also a judicial extern under Judge William A. Van Nortwick, Jr. (Ret.) at the Florida First District Court of Appeal and published by the Florida State University Business Review.
After law school, Mr. Heedy attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law, obtaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation. Before joining Dunlap & Moran, he worked in Tampa as a tax associate.
Mr. Heedy was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2015 and is a member of the Tax Section and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar. He is also a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association.
